Congrats to the great success of MIBIEXPO 2024!

On Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 9:30 a.m., the “7th MIBIEXPO” kicked off at Le Challenger in Saint-Laurent, Quebec!

Jocelyn Kao, Founder and President of the Montreal International Business Investment Expo (MIBIEXPO), delivered the opening speech, thanking attendees for joining the 7th edition of the Expo. She emphasized MIBIEXPO’s role as a global one-stop platform, featuring companies and organizations from countries such as Vietnam, Antigua in the Caribbean, and Taiwan. Ms. Kao briefly reviewed the Expo’s journey since its founding in 2018, expressing her gratitude to all present. Her passionate speech resonated with the audience and set the tone of unity, collaboration, and a shared goal to foster commercial development in Quebec, Canada, and worldwide.

Following her remarks, Kelvin Mo, President of APASME and President of the Chambre de commerce et d’industrie de Saint-Laurent – Mont-Royal, Mont-Royal Councilor Antoine Tayer, and Saint-Laurent Mayor Alan DeSousa addressed the crowd. They discussed the current global political and economic landscape, Montreal’s local features, and Saint-Laurent’s regional advantages. They praised Ms. Kao’s efforts, voiced support for the Expo’s success, and wished the event a fruitful outcome.

ECONOMIC CROSSROAD: THE OVERVIEW AND OUTLOOD OF GLOBAL AND CANADIAN ECONOMIES

 

 

This forum was hosted by Maxine Sun, a research scientist at Harvard Medical School’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Panelists included Aref Salem, leader of the opposition in Montreal and Saint-Laurent councilor; Marc Doucet, senior export advisor at Investment Quebec International; and David Girard, Vice President of Quebec chapter, AmCham Canada. Panelists discussed the impact of global economic changes on local and international investors, Montreal’s unique economic position, and how the local economy must adapt to evolving trends.

LATEST UPDATE OF REAL ESTATE MARKET: Market Overview & Trend and Eco-friendly Real Estate

 

 

This forum was moderated by Montreal financial expert and residential and commercial real estate broker Andrew Fang. Panelists included David Martellino, general director of ACQ Résidentiel ; Ray Junior, president of Ray Junior Investments; and Jocelyn Kao, senior real estate broker and MIBIEXPO founder. David Martellino provided an overview of ACQ and explained new home inspection standards. Jocelyn Kao, with over 30 years of experience, projected a gradual market recovery, highlighting investment prospects in vacation properties and villas in Quebec. Ray Junior advised young investors to begin their real estate ventures early. Each panelist shared insights on the current state and future trends of the real estate market.

Artificial Intelligence – The Impact on Daily Life and Business

 

 

APASME President Kelvin Mo led this forum, featuring Gérard Morissette, founder of the market data analytics company Prospectium, and Adrian Teh, co-founder of AI company Askbud.ai. Gérard and Adrian showcased AI customer service that can swiftly and accurately respond to client inquiries. Amazingly, AI now operates in multiple languages, illustrating the far-reaching impact of technological advancements.

Exhibitors prepared early to welcome attendees and answer questions. The expo featured participants from various sectors, including real estate, education, finance, technology, immigration, and tourism. Notable exhibitors included: Diamond Diamond Group, Evolonex, Clinique Mika, College Unica, Rouba Mansour Notaire, Coscia Design, Enviro SCAD, Leslie Cai Financial Services, Vietnam Trade Office, Prospectium, Antigua Investment and Immigration, EXP Agence immobilière, and Sean Zhu.

Three exciting raffles took place during the event! MIBIEXPO President Jocelyn Kao hosted the draws, and several attendees won fantastic prizes. Three lucky participants won a one-day double pass to the Eastern Townships, an Ipad, and a seven-day Caribbean trip for two, with applause and cheers marking the event’s high point.
